Notice to our customers: The Food and Drug Administration is cautioning consumers of a potential association between development of illness in dogs and the consumption of chicken jerky products imported from China. FDA is advising consumers who choose to feed their dogs chicken jerky products to watch their dogs closely for any or all of the following signs that may occur within hours to days of feeding the products: decreased appetite; decreased activity; vomiting; diarrhea, sometimes with blood; increased water consumption and/or increased urination. If the dog shows any of these signs, stop feeding the chicken jerky product. Owners should consult their veterinarian if signs are severe or persist for more than 24 hours.
From Dogswell: All Dogswell products have tested negative for contaminants, including melamine, salmonella and pesticides. In addition, Dogswell products do not contain rice protein concentrate, wheat gluten, or milk powder. Each production run is tested once, and every batch of product is tested for any harmful contaminants. Along with an in-depth knowledge of our supply chain, our regular testing assures us that we are providing only the very best ingredients and products to our customers and their pets. Tests are regularly conducted at various independent, third party, U.S. labatories that follow FDA and APPA approved methodology.
